Jake hopes Melissa will accept his apology
MANILA, Philippines - Actor Jake Cuenca has admitted that he is currently not in speaking terms with his former girlfriend actress Melissa Ricks.
During his guesting in ABS-CBN’s “E-Live” on Saturday, Cuenca explained, “Sa ngayon, hindi [kami nag-uusap], so parang sa ngayon nagbigay kami ng space sa isa’t isa and I think it’s just healthy para makapag-move on ng tama.”
When asked about the reason behind the said set-up, he deliberately refused to get into details. He said he’d rather stay mum and keep the issue between the two of them.
In an earlier report, Ricks kept on pointing out that she hopes Jake could show her a little more “respect.”
When Cuenca was asked to shed light on the matter, he claimed that he too was surprised by her controversial statements.
As far as he is concerned, Cuenca said he has the highest respect for Ricks, and he will never do anything to make her think otherwise.
“Basta sa akin, siyempre ako I was very lucky to have her as my former girlfriend and suwerte ako na binigyan niya ako ng 2 taon na napakasaya, at di ko makakalimutan ‘yon,” he said.
Despite the current status of his relationship with Ricks, Cuenca said that he is still keeping his hopes up that the two of them will still end up us good friends.
“Sana, dumating 'yung araw na puwede ko na siyang kausapin. Sana, dumating 'yung araw na mag-apologize ako sa kanya at matanggap niya 'yung apology ko after so many apologies,” he said.
“Hopefully, the next apology sana it counts, and after that apology maging magkaibigan kami.”
