Boy Abunda: No goodbyes for SNN
Manila, Philippines – Entertainment talk show “Showbiz News Ngayon,” hosted by King of Talk Boy Abunda and Bianca Gonzales, aired its final episode on Friday.
After more than 2 years of bringing the latest and hottest entertainment news every night, “Showbiz News Ngayon” officially signed off.
Former “Showbiz News Ngayon” host Kris Aquino extended her personal message to everyone behind the show's success, including those who have supported the show since day 1.
“I thank SNN (‘Showbiz News Ngayon’) also for the 1 year and 4 months, so 16 months din yun na pinagsamahan natin. It taught me so much about appreciating our business. SNN showcased our industry, ang show business, with so much dignity.”
As for her former co-host, Aquino expressed hope to work with him some time in the future.
“Boy, ang haba na ng nilakbay nating dalawa. Naniniwala ako na darating ang araw na magsasama tayo ulit. Kung ano man yung programang yun, kung kailan man mangyayari yun alam kong hindi puwedeng matapos ang karera nating dalawa na hindi tayo magkasama.”
Amid the words of parting, Abunda refused to bid their viewers goodbye.
According to him, "goodbye" is not exactly the right word to close this chapter because he believes that this is not the end for them.
